Travel Packages
( 2 Articles )
Travel with Gene packages are exciting travel itineraries with only 2 - 4 people sharing the adventure. Each month I have planned a new destination filled with great activities and cultural learning experiences. Your job is simply to enjoy yourself, learn new things and expand your comfort zone in a new culture. My job is to educate, provide support and make it all go smooth.
Important Notes:
- Luggage: Trips are backpacks excursions only. No suitcases allowed (1 pack/person). We must be light and agile so that we can easily catch transportation and cover moderate urban hikes with our gear.
- Accomodations: will be comfortable but never fancy. The choice of accommodations is always based on a unique experience or proximity to more interesting attractions (unlike a resort, the accommodation itself is not why you are there).
- Physical Fitness: You do not need to be an athlete to enjoy my adventure trips; however, you should feel comfortable being able to walk with a pack for at least two miles (sometimes you need to walk a ways just to reach your hotel) and be able to tolerate a long day of heat (dependent on the season and destination).
- Attitude: We all want to have a problem free vacation; however, when pack traveling in a foreign country things do happen. Poor weather, unreliable transportation and other setbacks can occur. Should something unwanted occur I may alter the itinerary to make the best of our time and money. Such possible situations need to be met with a positive attitude for the new plan. Part of why I am your guide is to provide alternatives and options when the unplanned occurs.
