Personal Travel Companion

Travel with Gene provides a unique "adventure vacation" planning service for individuals, couples, families, and groups.  I use my extensive travel experience, background, and research capabilities to tailor itineraries to the traveler's individual needs and experience.   An adventure vacation does not have to involve physical or political risks, but should provide unique destinations and activities which go beyond the traveler's previous experience level.  This could be a camping vacation, a surfing or scuba expedition or even a cultural exchange program.  If you're not sure, I can help you decide, and then create an itinerary to fit your budget.

Objectivity: At Travel with Gene, I do not work on commissions from the companies and bookings that are recommended to you. My trip plans are based on businesses from which I've had positive experiences, received positive referrals, and who's services match your specific needs. Your trip may not even require an outfitter.  I will use my own travel experience, the Internet, travel books/publications and referrals to explore all the options available to you and to give you my honest unbiased recommendations.

Travel Recommendations: I wll do more than just create itineraries and make bookings for you. I also will provide you with reading recommendations, packing lists, visa and immunization information, and advice about gear, photography, cultural and safety issues. I want to make sure that you are well prepared for your adventure vacation.
